This is for my #1 girl

This blog initially was a way for me to share my travels with you all. Throughout the 2nd half of 2020, I’ve been putting everything together and putting the finishing touches on it all to make it look appealing or appeasing. I’ve held it back from everyone until it was just right (because I wanted it to be perfect), and unfortunately, my desire for perfection or to come close to it bit me in the ass. I never had a chance to share a published blog with my mom before her untimely passing on December 18th. She knew I was working on it, and she knew the day was coming for me to share it with her.

I never got to show her what I was creating and manifesting. My mom has always been my biggest cheerleader, even when she didn’t agree with the path or calculated risk I was taking. She was always right there to lend a helping hand and to give me her full support. She never stopped telling me how proud she was of me. So now this blog will not only be a testament to my worldly travels, but it’s now a reminder to all of you that whatever work of art you create, never forget that it doesn’t have to be a perfect masterpiece to show the world. It can be a work in progress. There’s nothing wrong with that! Your supporters will still always be there at your side even while you’re working on that masterpiece.

So, Mom, I know you’re up in Heaven smiling down on me, and I also know you’re proud of me. This new masterpiece is dedicated to you because I know you looked forward to the adventures that I had coming. I wish I could share all of this with you, but I know you’ll always be watching over me, making sure I’m safe no matter where I go on this earth. Just know, your baby girl may be flying solo around the world, but you are the wind beneath her wings always.

This is such a beautiful tribute to your mom. You are an amazing woman and all that you do and will do should be shared with the world. I live vicariously through you and your travels.

Wow, Christa. This is beautiful! Congratulations on taking this step. I can’t wait to follow along and see your adventures once the world opens back up. (I hope to join you on a few if you’ll have a novice traveler.) I so agree with your sentiment about perfection. Don’t let perfect be the enemy of progress. Love you!!
